Dear faithful galaxy-finders,

It is mainly with relief that I am able to inform you: Galaxy Zoo has gotten together a working forum! Just go to http://www.galaxyzooforum.org and let the fun begin!

Feel free to look back at the blog, as I’ll keep it up and running, but I won’t be actively monitoring it or posting any longer, absent a change in circumstances.

Seconded. I have really enjoyed this blog, and found it a lot easier than the current forum, too. Thank you very much for setting it up.

I hope you don’t mind that I’m filching a lot of (my own) pictures back off it to go on the new one.

Blog Explanation

GALAXYZOO. ORG
This blog has no official affiliation with Galaxyzoo.org or SDSS.

But, when we discovered that galaxyzoo.org was having trouble getting their forum up, I created this blog as an unofficial forum. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves, post links, and I'll highlight the best of the best!
TIPS FOR SUBMITTING GALAXIES

#1) When you think you've found an image you want to submit to the blog, click on its reference #, which is near the upper-right of the photo.

This takes you to a page with a bunch of scientific gobbledygook, BUT, then you should click on the picture you see - this will give you the full photo, which is really important - because it's the full photo we want on the blog - those smaller photos are simply enlargements of this one.

#2) Right-click that big photo and select "copy link location" or something like that - and that is the URL we need to efficiently evaluate and post the galaxy. Then paste the URL into a comment, and send!
